About Us

DSC_0108_600Hungerford Arcade is an independent, family owned business which has been thriving for over 40 years and was the first of its kind when it was opened in 1972.  The building dates back to the 13th century and has taken on many forms in it’s long life, from a coaching inn to a grocers shop and everything in between.

At last count we had over 100 independent dealers under our ancient beams, selling all manner of interesting and beautiful objects; from fine glass, porcelain and jewellery to teddy bears or garden tools, there really is something for everyone here.

We have a dedicated team of friendly and knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to help with any query you might have.  Browsers are welcome, as are children and dogs, so bring the family and see what treasures can be found on your very own bargain hunt!

We play host to a number of different antiques television shows including Bargain Hunt, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is and The Antiques Roadtrip.  They always leave with smiles on their faces and bags bulging with bargains!

To make a real day out of your visit to the Arcade, go up the stairs to Rafters Cafe for brunch, lunch, cakes and tea.  Rafters is a small family run cafe, using locally sourced produce wherever possible and is very popular with locals and tourists alike.
