Hungerford Arcade currently has this fabulous Concorde lamp available in Unit 3 – the Greenwood Collection.

Concorde first entered commercial service in 1976 through a partnership between British Airways and Air France. For nearly three decades, it represented the pinnacle of passenger aviation, carrying travellers, celebrities, and business leaders at twice the speed of sound. It brings back fond memories of my time living in London where, at around 9pm every Sunday evening, Concorde would overfly my flat on its way into Heathrow. You heard it before you saw it and we always looked up.
Decades after its final flight, Concorde remains one of the most recognisable achievements in aviation history.

With its elegant delta wing, needle-like nose, and unmistakable silhouette, Concorde was more than an aircraft. It was a symbol of speed, innovation, and ambition. Crossing the Atlantic in under three and a half hours, it transformed long-distance travel into an experience that felt extraordinary.
Whether illuminated on a desk, bookshelf, or side table, its sleek profile instantly evokes the glamour of the supersonic age. The lamp’s design celebrates the aircraft’s most distinctive features. By combining functional lighting with a faithful tribute to aerospace engineering, it becomes a conversation piece. While the era of supersonic passenger travel may have ended, the fascination with Concorde endures.

Museums continue to preserve these remarkable aircraft, and enthusiasts around the world remain captivated by their story. A Concorde-inspired lamp offers a small but meaningful way to keep that legacy alive.
